Record breaker!!!
The date was October 29th, 2008. The goal, complete an ambitious 1,400 paintings and 125 mosaic tile benches for 25 schools in New Orleans in 2.5 hours! Volunteers from Starbuck's worked with my students to break a world record. Each school received 50 paintings and 5 benches to beautify their environment and raise awareness for arts and community service projects. Fifty Joseph S. Clark students and 3 teachers helped make this dream come true with the Crescent City Art Project and 1600+ Starbucks employees at the New Orleans convention.
